semen analysis
One of the tests your GP can arrange is a semen analysis. This is where a sample of semen is analysed to check the quality and quantity of the sperm. The results are usually available within a week. If the results are not normal, the test should be repeated to ensure it was accurate.
spirometry
The most basic test is spirometry. This test measures the amount of air the lungs can hold. The test also measures how forcefully one can empty air from the lungs. Spirometry is used to screen for diseases that affect lung volumes.
Sugar check
A blood sugar test measures the amount of a sugar called glucose in a sample of your blood. Glucose is a major source of energy for most cells of the body, including brain cells.
Eye testing
An eye exam involves a series of tests to evaluate your vision and check for eye diseases. Your eye doctor is likely to use various instruments, shine bright lights at your eyes and request that you look through an array of lenses. Each test during an eye exam evaluates a different aspect of your vision or eye health.
